Platinum Support For Special Olympics Upper North Shore and The Kuringgai Chase Fun Run or Walk

One of the many things that we love about living and working on the North Shore is the genuine sense of community. On Sunday 30th May you’ll see this in action as an annual and much-loved Ku-ring-gai event returns at the end of this month.

Grab your running shoes, throw on your active wear, pin on your racing bib because it’s time for North Shore locals to get active for a very important cause.

The Special Olympics Ku-ring-gai Chase Fun Run or Walk is making a return; a charity event that has been very close to our hearts here at McConnell Bourn for a long time. In fact, we are very proud to say that McConnell Bourn is once again supporting the fun run as Platinum Sponsor this year.

This major fundraising event raises much needed funds for Special Olympics Upper North Shore.

This local charity organization helps make a positive impact on the lives of children and adults with intellectual disabilities by giving them the opportunity to compete in sports, develop lasting friendships, engage with their local communities, and reach their full potential.

SOSUNS mission is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competitions in a variety of Olympic type sports for people with disabilities, while also making sure that every single person is accepted regardless of their ability. The money raised by The Kuringai Chase Fun Run or Walk helps this organization keep doing the incredible work that they’re doing.

This year the fun run will be taking place on Sunday 30th May at Claude Cameron Grove in Wahroonga with the circuit-style course beginning at 9am. The running portion of the event is 10km long and involves running the circuit twice. But of course, if walking is more your speed, you have the option to do this too! A 5km walk of the circuit will start at 9:10am, allowing people of all physical capabilities to take part in the day.

If you’re keen to participate in The Ku-ring-gai Chase Fun Run or Walk you can register on their website tkcfunrun.org.au now, either as a family or a single person for various prices. You may just see some familiar faces from McConnell Bourn donning their running gear out on the course. And if you can’t make it on the day, you can still get involved by making a donation or sponsoring someone you know to do the course.

Come for a walk or run at The Ku-ring-gai Chase Fun Run on Sunday 30th May. We look forward to seeing you there for a great day, enjoying the outdoors while supporting a great cause.

If running (or walking) through beautiful Wahroonga inspires you to make a move, feel free to stop by our nearby Turramurra office, take a complementary water break to see the latest properties that we have coming to market or to discuss what your own property may be worth in the current market.
